Melissa Chana, MA, LPCC, is a trauma-informed counselor trained in Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2. She specializes in helping individuals access and process deep emotional and somatic experiences that are often held outside of conscious awareness. Her work focuses on supporting clients in safely connecting with the body and nervous system to release unresolved trauma, emotional blocks, and long-standing patterns.
Melissa integrates Brainspotting with other trauma-informed approaches including EMDR, somatic awareness, and cognitive-behavioral strategies. Her clinical focus includes childhood trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, chronic stress, and the impact of unresolved experiences on identity and relationships. She is particularly skilled at helping clients move beyond insight and into deeper nervous system processing and lasting change.
Clients often describe Melissa as calm, attuned, and deeply present. Her approach emphasizes safety, curiosity, and respect for the body’s natural capacity to heal when given the right conditions.
Melissa provides Brainspotting sessions for adults seeking deeper healing from trauma, emotional overwhelm, and persistent patterns that traditional talk therapy has not fully resolved.
