Marissa is a psychotherapist and Licensed Social Worker, holding a Master’s degree in Social Services from Bryn Mawr College. Although her credentials are valuable, she believes her life experiences provide the greatest means of understanding myself and others. Marissa has found gratitude through loss, strength through challenge and hope through vulnerability. Marissa’s experiences have afforded her with a variety of interconnected identities: in her practice, she draws directly from her roles as a woman, a partner, a daughter, a friend, a student, and a change maker. Our identities impact our experiences and construct our realities. Feelings are real but they’re not always factual; we have the power to shift our direction. Pain often allows us to love more and stress sometimes leads to new pathways of success and growth.
Marissa is inspired to help people reframe their thinking to live their most purposeful and best lives. She believes therapy provides an everlasting impact and remain honored to hold space for those who experience stress, grief, depression and anxiety.
