Heidi Hoarau is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas (#80907) and is supervised by Kara Grant, LPC-S, CDWF, SEP. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. She specializes in providing individual counseling to adults who have experienced high stress, trauma or grief/loss in childhood and/or adulthood, and who currently experience emotional, behavioral or physical issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, PTSD, addiction, disordered eating, self-harm or chronic pain.
She is a Certified Brainspotting Therapist, a Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist. She has practiced counseling in private practices, community health clinics, and schools. She is on the board of the Houston LPC Association (HLPCA). She also completed all course requirements to become a Board-Certified Coach and a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider. She is bilingual in English and French. She also holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Software Engineering and worked 15 years for an international corporation, managing multicultural teams in three countries (USA, Norway and UK) before transitioning into the field of counseling and coaching.
