Hello! I’m Daniya, a Pakistani American trauma therapist located in Los Angeles. I practice in the states of California, Virginia, and Washington. I work primarily with trauma of all sorts, with a particular expertise in bipoc, intergenerational, and childhood trauma. I am trained in Brainspotting and currently pursuing certification with Mariya Javed Payne.
First and foremost, I practice relationally. I bring in multiple approaches (psychodynamic, polyvagal, attachment, trauma informed) into the treatment room but ultimately combine the aspects that would be most beneficial for you!
I offer both weekly sessions as well as intensives for Brainspotting. I practice from a decolonial and ancestral approach, and my core practice involves compassion, curiosity, liberation, and community. I work with clients to help them not only achieve the specific goals and release whatever traumas/memories/feelings that may be keeping them in an old spot, but also work with clients to build and maintain a new way of functioning that supports wellbeing way more.
I offer free consultations as well, so please feel free to reach out!
I see clients in person in Santa Monica, CA, or virtual throughout the week.
