Andrea received her Masters Degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1993. She also graduated from the Masters Massage Practitioner Program at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (Phoenix, AZ) in 2005 specializing in Craniosacral Therapy. She currently offers psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and bodywork services in Eau Claire, WI.
Her counseling experience involves work with children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a variety of concerns such as substance abuse, crisis/trauma, emotional pain, adolescents at risk, and chronic illness. Her continuing education includes coursework in trauma therapy, Brainspotting, neuroscience, energy psychology, Craniosacral and Myofascial Release Therapies.
Andrea’s passion is in helping clients rediscover their inner resources and strengths and in time, move beyond suffering to thriving. Her counseling approach is experiential and holistically oriented while making use of newer, cutting edge modalities such as Brainspotting, which brings about neurophysiological changes that untangle core traumas and help eliminate the symptoms connected to these traumas. She has learned in her work both personally and professionally that when addressing emotional and psychological challenges, engaging the innate healing abilities of the body allows for more lasting and complete healing.
