Trauma is the stories trapped within our bodies that shape our relationship with ourselves and others. The choices you make while navigating the effects of trauma, or not failures, but survival strategies. You are not broken. Perhaps you struggle to change because some of your old behavior still meets an unknown need. Instead of shaming ourselves, let’s work together to identify those needs and get curious about new, healthier ways to meet them. Some events are just too big to talk about or way out of, which is why traditional talk therapy can be limited in its ability to treat traumatic wounds. I use Brainspotting and somatic-based approaches to help you mentally asthmatically process these kinds of experiences. I advise you to reach out for a 15-minute consultation to discuss your treatment goals.
