I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist, with a Postgraduate counselling qualification from The Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). I am also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and have been trained by the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IIITAP) from Arizona, USA.
Very often, people with addictions have early life underlying trauma that has not been processed. Trauma is stored in the body and traditional ‘talk therapy’ cannot access it. I have been trained in and use Brainspotting to help people process trauma that is stored in the deeper parts of the brain.
